The Sri Lanka Public Health Inspectors Association says that due to a new circular issued by the Director-General of Health Services, there will be fewer reports of corona infections in the country in the future. However, it is not a shortage of infected people, President of the Association Upul Rohana said. He added that the new circular had instructed the quarantined persons on how to proceed with their release and the investigation of their FirstClass associates. He said that the first-class associates, who have been quarantined for 21 days, have been instructed to be released without undergoing a PCR test and therefore there will be a decrease in the number of corona infections in the future. In this situation, there is a risk of clusters forming in the society in the future as there is no investigation into the identities of the first class associates, said Mr. Upul Rohana.
People should be told the truth- Dayasiri Jayasekara

Army shot a truck in Kilinochchi

The suspects will be produced before the Kilinochchi Magistrate’s Court today (22), Dharmapuram Police said.
Indian military predator drones will be impose near Sri Lankan air border against China.

The Indian Navy says it is using predator drones to increase its surveillance in the Indian Ocean region, including near Sri Lanka, as Chinese activities in the region pose a threat to India’s security. The drones will assist the Indian Coast Guard as well as the Indian Navy, the Navy said. Vice Admiral G.S. Ashok Kumar said the drones would help focus more on navigating vessels, especially in the ocean region. It further stated that India is planning to purchase 30 drones from the United States to enhance its land and maritime security due to the escalating tensions with neighbouring China and Pakistan.

It was revealed after an Investigations carried out on 194 employees of a factory in the Hekitta area in Wattala. According to the reports, 92 of those infected are Indians. The factory centres temporarily closed and infected people have been referred to treatment centres. Other workers were quarantined in the factory.
