The Habaraduwa Police have received a complaint regarding the theft of a stock of Sinopharm vaccine bottles that are being imported into the country to control corona.
The Habaraduwa Medical Officer of Health has lodged the complaint alleging that 30 vials worth around Rs. 90,000 had been stolen.
The complaint further states that a driver and a minor employee working in the office are responsible for that.
The two suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident and a special team has been appointed to conduct a special investigation into the incident, police said.
