A suspect wanted in connection with the theft of rice worth Rs. 250,000 from a supermarket in Mt. Lavinia has been arrested by the police.

The suspect was arrested due to possession of 4 grams and 100 milligrams of heroin during a police raid near the Mount Lavinia Railway Station yesterday (June 13)

He was later interrogated and it was revealed that he had stolen rice on the last 11th.
