Travel restrictions will remain in effect after the 7th.

Army Commander Shavendra Silva states that only one person per house is allowed to leave the house according to the NIC numbers even the travel restrictions Currently fully operational in the country after the suspension was reopened on the 7th.

He said that although it is permissible to go to work after the 7th, other people are only allowed to leave the house for essential matters according to the identity card number system.

There isnt any decision has been taken to extend the current active travel restrictions after the 7th and that further steps will be taken in consultation with the Corona Suppression Committee as well as the health authorities, he further said.

He added that the results of the current period of active travel restrictions will be seen after the 10th of this month
