The third reading of the port city commission bill passed with a majority of votes

The third reading of the Colombo Port City Special Commission Bill was passed by a majority of 91 votes in Parliament. 149 votes were cast in favour of the Bill while 58 votes were cast against it.

All government parties voted in favour of the bill while Samagi Jana Balawega, Jathika Jana Balaweka and the Tamil National Alliance voted against it.

The second day of the debate on the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Bill was opened today by Samagi Jana Balawega MP Eran Wickramaratne.
