The World Health Organization (WHO) urges Sri Lanka to pay close attention to corona infections as a serious prevalence in Sri Lanka and to impose strict travel restrictions.
The organization said in a statement that Sri Lanka was nearing the most challenging period and appreciated the hard work of Sri Lankan health workers in the face of the pandemic and said it was ready to assist in any way possible to save lives and control the virus.
Imposing travel restrictions is essential to control the pandemic as vaccination was not the only tool to control the virus at the moment.
