After the marriage of 27 years, Bill Gates and Melinda Gates have announced their divorce. They had tweeted saying “we no longer believe we can grow together as a couple”. BBC
“After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have decided to end our marriage,” they tweeted.
According to Forbes magazine, Bill Gates is the fourth wealthiest person in the world and his net worth is calculated as $124bn (£89bn).
They have three children and jointly run the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation which spent billions fighting causes such as infectious diseases and encouraging vaccinations in children.BBC
