Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will take over the post of National List Member of Parliament for the United National Party, which was won by the party at the last Parliamentary Elections, the Chairman of the party, Vajira Abeywardena said.

He further stated that Ranil Wickremesinghe is preparing to represent the party in Parliament in the future based on a unanimous decision taken by the UNP. Mr. Abeywardena said these while addressing a media briefing in Galle.
