The Jaffna Divisional Crime Investigation Unit has raided an illegal liquor factory. It was located Jaffna Hospital Road.
It has been reported that liquor is being manufactured illegally and labeled in the market as approved by the government, police Media Spokesman, DIG Ajith Rohana stated.
Police had seized 42 bottles of 750 ml liquor, 262 bottles of 180 ml liquor and 3000 liters of liquor and illegal documents were seized.
A 48-year-old suspect has been arrested in this connection. He is identified as a resident of Mallakkam area.
