President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa had instructed to completely ban the importing palm oil,Presidential Media Unit said.

The Controller of Imports and Exports instructed to issue the relevant gazette notification on yesterday by the Secretary to the President.

Also,the Director General of Customs has been instructed to suspend the issuance of imported palm oil and instructions given to ban the cultivation of thorny coconuts completely.
