BTS, the South Korean pop group has expressed their support for the Stop Asian Hate movement by posting a letter on Twitter.
This movement was arisen after increasing of the crimes against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
The statement was published both in Korean and English. According to a report released by the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism the anti-Asian hate crimes have been increasing by nearly 150% in that year 2020.
The statement says;
“We send our deepest condolences to those who have lost their loved ones,” and aso it reads “We feel grief and anger. We recall moments when we faced discrimination as Asians. We have endured expletives without reason and were mocked for the way we look. We were even asked why Asians spoke in English.”
These stop Asian Hate movement started after eight people were killed in a series of shootings at three Atlanta spas six of whom were Asian women on March 16.
