A 36 years old man arrested in pannipitiyata area yesterday (March 15) by officers from the Western Province South Crimes Division. The suspect was impersonated a police sub inspecter since long period of time.

It is reported that suspect had had a fake ID card as a police sub inspector. Also he had engaged in various type of crimes using this new fake identity as a policemen. He even had posted pictures on social media posing as a policeman wearing police uniforms.

He was identified as a resident from Rakwana and going to appear before the Maharagama magistrate’s court today.
