Stocks of paddy purchased from the farmers by the Paddy Marketing Board decided to convert in to rice immediately by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Department of Government Information stated that the rice stocks will be distributed continuously through the network of Sathosa.
There is a lack of adequate stoks of rice currently in the market. This decision has been taken as an alternative to take the pice under the controll.
