Orders issued to seize Litro gas 18 litre cylinders

It is reported that the Chairman of the Consumer Affairs Authority has ordered to immediately seize the 18 liter new gas cylinders released by Laugfs to the island wide market. The entire gas trade in Sri Lanka is carried out by two major companies Litro Gas Pvt. Ltd wich is successor to International Shell Company and Laugh Gas Company which is owned by Mr. WKH Vegapitiya. Last week both the companies had introduced a hybrid 18 liter gas cylinder in addition to the gas cylinders currently on in the market at Rs. 1395 / = per family of four.
