Fatal accident on the Southern Expressway
A father and daughter of the same family have been killed in a car accident in the Galanigama area in Millaniya on the Southern Expressway. Three others were injured in the accident, police said. A car traveling from Matara to Colombo on the Southern Expressway on the Kataragama Pilgrimage had collided with a security fence near the 18th km post at Millaniya at around 1.30 am today (15). A 39-year-old man and his four-year-old daughter and her father were killed in the accident in Rerukana, Bandaragama, police said.

A standard issue in the new gas stocks
 It has been revealed that the gas in the ship which brought a consignment of gas to Litro was not up to the required standard. It is reported that the decision regarding the landing of the gas will be taken at the technical committee meeting today. The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) had earlier stated that a decision would be taken today (14) as to whether the gas on board the ship anchored in the Colombo harbour would land in Sri Lanka. The gas vessel arrived at the Port of Colombo recently and the relevant sections have tested the gas in it. However, it has been reported that its “propane and butane” composition is up to standard, but it is not yet known whether the mercaptan composition used to detect the odour of gases is up to par. The Authority further stated that permission will not be granted if there is a slight or slight change in the composition of the gases present on the ship.
A teacher assaulted a student with a plastic pipe and fled away

Hospital sources said an X-ray was taken of the student’s hands to see if there was any damage to the bones. Police say that the teacher in charge of the class had tried to prevent the student from being assaulted but it had failed. The mother of the victim said: “Son came home from school and could not take off his clothes. When I asked why the son said his hands were a little tight. Then he looked at the shirt on the rocks. The son’s hands were badly bruised everywhere. I asked what happened.” “Son said that I was not in class for a period and that the teacher who teaches technology hit me hard. The son was assaulted during recess because he was not in class at the time of the technology. When he came to the wash class at mealtime, he had been slapped several times. The son said he then got down on his knees, took an eslon tube and struck about 20 times with both hands. Rs 80 cost bread only weight around 350 grams, bakery owners are scamming people

A Terrorist attack on an Indian police bus
