A 33 year old unmarried girl has been shot dead in the Vavuniya area. The girl was traveling on a motorbike with her mother when the shooting took place on a jungle road. Police say investigations have revealed that the shooting was carried out by a married man who had an affair with the girl. Investigations are underway to find the suspect who has fled the area.
