A man has died after jumping from the 7th floor of an apartment complex in the Wellawatte area in Colombo.

The victim succumbed to his injuries on admission to the Kalubowila Hospital, police said.

The deceased has been identified as an 87-year-old resident of Colombo 06.

Police investigations have revealed that he had committed suicide due to mental distress. Wellawatte Police are conducting further investigations.
