The photo shows a private bus travelling from Galle to Colombo entering the Bentota railway gate unscathed and getting stuck in the bus on the afternoon of the 18th.

The bus was entered before one of the two gates was activated and the other gate was closed, thus preventing the bus from getting stuck and causing a train accident.

The express train from Maradana to Beliatta is crossing the Bentota Galle Road and the private bus is stuck at the closed railway gates.
