A video of a police officer stopping a man in a car and assaulting him has been circulating on social media.
The incident took place on the Kiriella road in Ratnapura. The senior police officer tries to take him away from the police jeep by beating him up, saying that the car was speeding.
The man says the police officer is drunk. According to reports, Senior DIG Ranmal Kodithuwakku is also involved in this incident.
