If the minority parties want to leave the government they can leave, the government will not fall- Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa

If the minor political parties that have joined the current government have an idea to leave the government, they can come to such a decision at any time, said the Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.

He said he did not want to forcibly keep them if they wanted to go, adding that the government would not fall even if they leave.

He said that it was the Opposition that dreamed that the minority parties would leave the government, adding that some in the Opposition were always pessimistic about the government’s activities.

The Prime Minister said that the cost of living has gone up in many countries due to the current situation in the world market and we too have to face this situation which is severely affecting us.

He added that if the opposition government had acted on a day like today, the situation in Sri Lanka would have been even worse
