Security has been beefed up at the Katunayake International Airport following an e-mail stating that an attack was being carried out.

The e-mail address was sent to the airport’s official website, stating that an attack on the airport and government buildings would take place on the 20th.

It has been revealed that this message has been sent to Sri Lanka by a hacker attacking the website of an institution belonging to the Bangladesh Army.

However, security has been beefed up at the Katunayake and Mattala airports and rehearsals for the emergency have been activated.
