Kilo of dhal is sold in the market at a price of around Rs. 250 now

The Association of Importers and Traders of Essential Foods says that the price of dhal will continue to rise in the local market.

At present a kilo of dhal is sold in the market at a price of around Rs. 250.

The association points out that dhal is imported to Sri Lanka from Canada and Australia and that the price of dhal will increase due to the decrease in the dhal harvest in Canada and the increase in world market prices.
