There is strong pressure to cover up the investigation into a minor girl who died while working as a servant at the residence of former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen- Praneetha Warnakulasuriya

UNHRC Director Praneetha Warnakulasuriya has said that there are reports that there is strong pressure to cover up the investigation into a minor girl who died while working as a servant at the residence of former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen.

She points out that it is suspected that the girl was killed at Badurdeen’s house and that the rape may have taken place there.

She says that there does not appear to be a fair investigation in this regard and that a statement has not been obtained until the girl’s death.

She made these comments while participating in a discussion on the youtube channel.
