Only the poor people follow the quarantine rules and travel restrictions and people with power are acting freely- The Sri Lanka Public Health Inspectors Association

The Sri Lanka Public Health Inspectors Association states that only innocent people follow the travel restrictions and that those in power act freely.

Its chairman Upul Rohana points out that innocent people who lived on a daily income are keeping restrictions and stay in homes despite economic hardships.

The majority of the powerful people that wee is ignoring the traffic laws and walking the streets showing their influence.

The corona control of the country seems to have been hampered by those who show such influence but about 60% of people follow travel restrictions and health guidelines, he said.

However, he said that while the number of coronaviruses reported so far was not so favourable, the number of reported cases was likely to drop significantly in the next two weeks as many of the first-line infections were restricted in circulation.
