The army is cleaning the wreckages on the coast from burning sea

Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Urban Development, Coast Conservation Waste Disposal and Community Sanitation, Ministry of Environment, Disaster Management Authority, Center Relevant local government bodies jointly launched a Waste Disposal Operation to remove Chemical and Non-Chemical Waste Due to Accident of Pearl Express.

Accordingly, the daily disposal of the waste that accumulates on the coast and the removal of chemicals that accumulate on the coast are carried out by the Armed Forces under the supervision of the Disaster Management Center, Marine Environment Protection Authority.

The Director-General of the Disaster Management Center and other officials conducted a field inspection along the coast from Negombo to Colombo.
