The Sabaragamuwa Province has decided to place children without any other care under the probation department if the mother and father become infected with corona. Provincial Governor Tikiri Kobbekaduwa said.

He said these while addressing a meeting of the Corona Suppression Committee.

He said that when both parents are sent to corona treatment centres, the children of some families become insecure and some do not even have the protection of a close relative, so they are taken into probation Centres.

He added that adequate facilities have been provided in the province to face the pandemic.
