GMOA logged a complaint against SLS Director-General Siddhika Senaratne’s statement

Sri Lanka Standard Institute’s Director-General Siddhika Senaratne made an statement claiming that she was aware of t certain food items sold in the market contain substance unfit for human consumption.

So, The Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA)lodged a complaint with the Inspector General of Police (IGP) requesting him to conduct investigation into the statement of the Director-Generals statement.

He consider it as a criminal offence under the penal code not to take action to prevent any poisonous substance being consumed as SLSI is there to ensure the safety of the food consumed by the people.
