Queen Elizabeth II died of old age, her death certificate has revealed.
The coroner’s certificate, published by National Records of Scotland on Thursday, said the late British queen died at 3:10 p.m.
The Queen died at Balmoral Castle in Balmoral, Scotland on 8 September, 3.20 hours later at 6.30pm, the palace announced.
The cause of death was listed as old age. The document was signed by the Queen’s daughter, Princess Anne. Britain’s longest-reigning Queen has died peacefully at the age of 96. Her death sparked a period of national mourning.
King Charles III, who ascended the throne after his mother’s death, was officially announced as the new head of the United Kingdom on September 10.
