Queen Elizabeth II death-How the day gone in England on the day the news of the Queen’s death was published

Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully at Balmoral.

 Here’s how the day unfolded with that incident

12.32: Buckingham Palace said in a statement that doctors are concerned about the Queen’s health. They say the head of state is comfortable and the royal doctors have recommended that she remain under medical supervision.

12.45 pm: Clarence House says Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall have gone to Balmoral. A minute later, Kensington Palace confirmed that William was also heading north.

2.39 pm: Royal Air Force flight KRF23R takes off from RAF Northolt in South Ruislip, west London, according to flight tracking website Flightradar24. Takes William, Duke of York and the Earl and Countess of Wessex.

 3.50: Dassault Falcon aircraft lands at Aberdeen Airport.

After 5 pm: A group of cars, including a Range Rover driven by William, with Andrew in the passenger seat and Edward and Sophie in the back, arrive at Balmoral.

6.31 pm: Buckingham Palace released a statement saying: “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. King Charles and the Queen will stay at Balmoral this evening and return to London tomorrow.

After 7 pm: Charles, who became king after his mother’s death, said: “The death of my dear mother, the Queen, is a moment of great sadness for me and all my family. We are deeply saddened by the loss of a much-loved mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt by countless people across the country, the states and the Commonwealth, and around the world.

7.08: Prime Minister Liz Truss says it’s “the end of Elizabeth II” and concludes by saying “God protect the King”. She also talks about getting along with the new king, King Charles III.”

 7.25pm: Clarence House confirms that Charles will be known as King Charles III.

 7.41: Kensington Palace confirms Kate and William will be known as the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge.
