Central Bank Governor Dr Nandalal Weerasinghe comments on the struggle that took place near Colombo Galle Mudoora Pitiya.
He says that the struggle came as a different wave and it did not come because people could not live in poverty.
He also mentioned that a part of some people took to the streets due to a change in the attitude of the middle class.
But if the next wave of poor and low-income people take to the streets, it may end in bloodshed, he said, adding that such a situation cannot be controlled and it is the most dangerous situation.
He said this in his speech to the members of Parliament regarding the economic situation of the country.
