The All Ceylon Bakery Owners Association states that the price of a 50 kg bundle of wheat flour has so far gone up to twenty thousand rupees.
Accordingly, the wholesale price of a kilo of wheat flour has increased to 400 rupees, the president of the association Mr N.K Jayawardena said.
He also mentioned that due to this situation, the price of a loaf of bread will have to be increased to 300 rupees.
