According to unofficial sources, Former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa is planning to enter Parliament from the national list of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna

 It is also stated that an MP who is currently on the national list will resign for the former president to enter the parliament.

He is currently in Thailand and is scheduled to come to Sri Lanka in the next few days.
