Mr. Anura Dissanayake, the leader of Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna states that the Galle face protests are a group of sub-organizations of their party.
He says that organizations such as Socialist Youth Union, Socialist Students Union, Socialist Art Union etc were in the protest.
He said that there is a big contradiction between the current composition of the parliament and the will of the people, and that is why it is more important to establish a new parliament as soon as possible.
He further said that an interim administration is necessary until that opportunity is given and his party is ready to take over the country for that period.
