Russia today (RT) International news channel has blocked broadcasting in Sri Lanka.

The news channel, which is a Russian state-owned channel, has so far aired in Sri Lanka through Dialog TV.

But its broadcasts have been suspended for the past few days. Dialog states that it does not receive the satellite signals required to broadcast the channel.

 Russia has blocked certain satellite access to Russian channels due to the Ukraine war.
