Power and Energy Minister Mr. Kanchana Wijesekera states that twenty-four companies from different countries have expressed interest in entering the country’s fuel market.

 He also says that a committee has been appointed to investigate the proposals.

Currently, companies from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the United States, China, India, Norway, Malaysia, and the Philippines have applied.
