The organization involved in the protest has requested the United Nations in Colombo to immediately intervene about the attacks on the the protest.

They have made this request by submitting a letter to that organization.

In the meantime, Mr. Joseph Stalin, Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers’ Union, states that a request has been made to the foreign embassies in Colombo to directly intervene in the current human rights violations in Sri Lanka.
