Some of the students who wrote the scholarship came out of the examination halls with tears in their eyes

The Grade Five Scholarship Examination for the year 2021, which was postponed on several occasions due to the covid epidemic, was held yesterday (22).

The Grade 5 scholarship examination, which is scheduled to be held as usual in August each year, had to be postponed due to the covid epidemic.

Accordingly, children in some areas who faced the scholarship examination today had come out of the examination halls crying.

The students said that the first question paper of the examination centre held at Vijaya College in the Welimada Education Zone was not given to the students on time but was collected on time.

As a result, the children had come out of the examination halls crying because they did not have enough time to answer the exam.

Some children said that they had snatched the question paper while writing the answers. Some of the children also said that they were scolded at the request of sketch papers.

Due to this the parents engaged in a protest by crossing the Welimada-Badulla main road demanding justice.

Parents allege that this injustice has happened to about 150 children.

Although the parents had tried to meet Welimada Zonal Director Rohitha Amaradasa to discuss the incident, they could not find a way out, our correspondent said.
