A foreign national who attempted to flee to Paris, France via Abu Dhabi has reportedly run out of the Katunayake International Airport when he was about to be arrested by the Immigration and Emigration Department.

The foreign national was arrested this morning (10) following a joint operation by the Immigration and Emigration Department, Sri Lanka Air Force Commandos, Airport Security and Police while the foreigner in question was running up to the roof of the airport.

The foreigner had arrived at the Katunayake International Airport at 02.45 this morning to board Etihad Airways flight EY-265 bound for Paris, France via Abu Dhabi.
