Chocolate raid in Nuwara Eliya

Chocolate is a favourite of all of the house no matter we are young or adult. So many people do not pay much attention to the price of chocolate, which is a delicacy.

A fraudulent trader  who use this for his trade has been reported from the Nuwara Eliya area. The suspect had forged the price of the chocolate printed on the label and sold the chocolate.

A search of a complaint lodged with the Nuwara Eliya Consumer Affairs Authority revealed information about the sale of the chocolate.

The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has seized a stock of high demand chocolates prepared by the suspect for sale at fake prices.

 The suspect trader has been released on a bond after being summoned to appear before the Nuwara Eliya Magistrate’s Court on the 13th.
