A science teacher has been arrested in New York for giving her student the covid vaccine without her parents’ consent.

Authorities said she had no qualifications in the medical field. Laura Rousseau, a 54-year-old biology teacher, gave the student the dosage at home, and authorities say it was illegal.

If convicted, she faces up to four years in prison, local media reported.

An investigation has also been launched into how the teacher got the covid vaccine. So far, only the Pfizer vaccine has been approved for vaccination of Americans under 18 years of age
