Sri Lankan killed in Seychelles

Seychelles police are investigating the murder of a Sri Lankan man. Foreign media have reported that investigations are underway into the murder of a 47 – year – old Sri Lankan man who worked for a construction company on the Seychelles’ Ladigu Island.  The Sri Lankan man was found dead at his home on December 10 by the Sri Lankan police. An official of the company had gone to the house where the person was staying and informed the police that he had fallen in his room as he had not reported to work for several days. The police later revealed that the man had died and a subsequent autopsy revealed that he had been strangled to death. According to foreign media reports, the police have launched an investigation into the murder of the Sri Lankan and so far no suspect has been identified.

The quality of Sri Lankan fuels has deteriorated vehicles are in danger

According to Asanka Bandara, the champion of automotive engineering and motor racing, the quality of Sri Lankan fuels has deteriorated recently. He also said that the engine of the vehicle in which he and another person had gone was similarly damaged during the Katukurunda motor racing. He also states that substandard fuel consumption causes more damage to the engines of vehicles. He made these comments in an interview with Neth Radio.

Hydro power generation goes down

Milk powder companies have decided to increase the price of milk powder

Milk powder companies have decided to increase the price of milk powder. The price of a 400 gram packet of milk powder has been increased by Rs. 60 and a kilo packet of milk powder by Rs. 150.  Accordingly, according to the new prices, 400 grams of milk powder is Rs. 540 and a kilo packet is Rs. 1345. The Milk Powder Importers’ Association is setting the price after the government gave up price control.
