Dayasiri Jayasekara says that the country has become unable to pay even 300 cents, as Rs. 13 billion to be paid as compensation for the rejected fertilizer ship Minister of State.
The Minister said that the compensation paid should be recovered from the persons responsible for the crime and that it is a national crime to pay such a sum from the wealth of the country.
He said this while he was speaking to the media after visiting the Chief Prelates of Malwatta and Asgiriya.
