Steps have been taken to temporarily suspend the landing of aircraft at Chennai Airport in India.

According to Indian media reports, the decision was taken due to heavy rains and inclement weather.

Accordingly, the landing of the aircraft has been temporarily suspended until 6 pm today. However, foreign media have further reported that flights departing from Chennai airport are permitted.
