An assassination attempt on Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadimi has failed.

The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of the Prime Minister’s residence in Baghdad.

 However, it is reported that the Prime Minister was not at home at the time. According to foreign media reports, six members of the Iraqi Prime Minister’s Security Forces were injured in the attack.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
