The government spent an equal amount spent to build the Hambanthota port for the vaccination program

Minister of State Sanath Nishantha says that the government has spent the US $ 400 million for the corona vaccination program.

He also said that the huge amount of money was equal to the amount spent to build the Hambantota port.

He said that as a government, Sri Lanka was ranked fifth in the top 10 countries in the world for successfully combating the corona epidemic due to this successful vaccination.

He said that despite the corona epidemic, the government was moving ahead with the development process and hoped that huge development goals would be achieved within the next four years.

The Minister said that the cost of the construction of the Hambantota Port was US $ 400 million but the agreement pertaining to the Hambantota Port stated that the cost was US $ 1.4 billion.
