Sir David Ames, a former Conservative MP from Britain, was assassinated yesterday (15).

 He was attacked by a young man with a sharp weapon during a public meeting in his constituency.

Police have arrested the killer and he is said to be of Somali descent.

Subsequent investigations revealed that the killing of the Member of Parliament could be termed as an act of terrorism.
