Sri Lanka currently has US $ 2,581 million in foreign reserves but owes $ 7,247 million in loans, said Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Harsha de Silva.

He added that a cabinet decision had been taken to obtain a loan of US $ 2.5 billion from Concept Global to repay the loan.

He said that the company that was giving such a large loan was a small house near Rajagiriya and that he had visited it and that the owner of the house was not the owner or head of any company.

However, the Cabinet approved a commission of 7% of the loan amounting to $ 175 million.

He said this while he is talking in Parliament.
