People in Afghanistan are closing social media accounts in Afghanistan for fear of the Taliban

Many people in the country who have spoken out against the Taliban’s policies online have taken action to remove their social media accounts.

Foreign media reported that the Taliban had taken steps to deactivate the accounts on social media accounts for fear that they might obtain information through them and cause an accident.

According to foreign reports many people who criticized the Taliban on social media are now seeking asylum in the West.
