Army Commander Shavendra Silva says that President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa will give some advice on reopening the country after he arrives in Sri Lanka.
He added that the people should strictly adhere to the health laws for another two to three months and act responsibly.
He also called on the people not to use the release during the New Year season, a
adding that corona waves emerging again could not be avoided as so.
He said that the corona has been controled satisfactorily in the country today and it can be expected that the corona distribution will further decrease in the next two to three months.
He said that health guidelines are being prepared for the opening of the country and that about 50% of the total population of the country has already completed both doses of corona vaccine.
