Jayantha Ketagoda was recently sworn in as a Member of parliament before Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.
Parliamentary Business commenced at 10.00 am and Mr. Jayantha Ketagoda was sworn in as the first Speaker of the House.
Jayantha Ketagoda was sworn in to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Ajith Nivard Cabraal, a National List Member of Parliament for the Sri Lanka People’s Front.
